Friday, September 2 and Saturday, September 3 are the days that we will be visiting the Utopian town of New Harmony, Indiana.

We will have the opportunity to enjoy the many historic sites of New Harmony including a visit to the Atheneum (a museum featuring the early lives of the Utopian Settlers), the Roofless Church, the Harmonist Labyrinth, and the peaceful, artistic, and spiritual climate of this quaint little town. Only two and one-half hours drive from St. Louis, this can be a delightful day trip or an overnight fun trip.

Participants staying overnight can stay at the beautiful New Harmony Inn nestled on the bend of the Wabash River on the shore of the tranquil Swan Lake in guestrooms tastefully decorated in the style of the Harmonists. Room rates are $112 per night per room and include a complimentary Continental Breakfast. The property also features one of the best restaurants in the Hoosier State and is open for dinner.

Please note that reservations must be made by August 7 and if staying overnight at the New Harmony Inn, a check payable to First Unity with the notation “New Harmony Inn” must be received no later than August 7 ($112 per night per room). Also, if you will require transportation to and from New Harmony, please sign the “NEED TRANSPORTATION” list so that we can help you find a ride. The Red Geranium Restaurant also requires reservations so please sign the reservations list posted in the church lobby if you are planning to dine at the Red Geranium.
