The Bible is Unity's primary textbook. Other Unity textbooks are supplementary to the Bible and are intended only to help the student in the right interpretation and understanding of the Bible.

We do not argue as to whether the events in the Bible are historical or allegorical or both. Their value is in what they teach and the response they bring forth in our life. We understand the Bible best by applying its teaching in our daily experience, and listening continually for Spirit guidance, and proving all things, holding fast to that which we find is true.
